Program Description

"The Masters in Finance Program (MiF) is a rigorous, 12-month, part-time professional degree program specializing in applied finance. In addition to theoretical foundations, students enrolling in MiF acquire practical knowledge in finance, as well as hands-on training in our state-of the-art Center for Applied Finance Education (CAFE) facility. This unique center in the region is equipped with cutting edge technology and software, creating an up-to-date learning environment for students. Guided by an Advisory Board composed of accomplished finance professionals, our program aims to furnish students with the essential skills of a modern finance specialist.
The curriculum consists of a variety of courses in corporate finance and investments, as well as “tools” courses such as financial econometrics and programming. These distinguishing aspects of the program serve to fulfill our shared vision, which is to develop the future leaders of the finance industry."

Program Objectives

The MiF Program at Sabancı University welcomes applicants with a university degree in any discipline or major and a strong interest in and motivation for a managerial career. Masters in Finance program is a rigorous and challenging one-year program. In addition to attending the classes on a mandatory basis, the students are expected to participate actively in discussions held in classes. The practical application of finance theory will be demonstrated with in-class examples, simulation exercises, and various projects at the CAFE (Center for Applied Finance Education). Students will spend a significant amount of time at the CAFE to gain the necessary experience on the technology, hardware equipment, and software programs that are integral parts of any professional financial organization in the business world. Qualification Awarded

The Master 's Degree in Finance ( second cycle in Finance) is awarded to the graduates who have successfully completed all courses in the curriculum.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

Students must obtain a grade point average of at least 3.00 out of 4.00 and successfully pass all courses on the programme.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Exemptness from the courses which are included in transfer and student exchange programs are regulated by the related articles in Information on the Instruction Letter For Sabancı Unıversity Graduate. At Sabancı University, apart from formal education institutions, there is no recognition process for informal-based or experience-based (in-formal and non-formal) learning.
